I've been having an increased awareness of how plants around me are living conscious things like me. There are many diverse plants around Berkeley in people's yards, so it's fun. It's a big shift in perspective - similar to how if you're on the street observing and listening to the people around you, noticing their movements, the way they speak, how they are feeling. I hope more people tune in to this reality, because coming out of a human-centric paradigm into one where you know that all life, even stones, are "people", too, makes it easier to live a lifestyle that respects the well being and integrity of the luscious diverse organic life system we are but a part of.
