Alright I am jumping off the cliff and beginning to work on media not just willy nilly on my own fb and website, but on Evolver Network's facebook page and our section on Reality Sandwich. This summer I learned to write branding guides for this sort of thing to keep the content focused and balanced. I'm *loving* incorporating my background in comparative aesthetics and art history.... there's something about the way the whole multi-movement of activism and non-profits presents that can use a little magic and playfulness. That's where TEN comes in . I've been a radio DJ and a magazine curator, and events curator, but working on the scale of a global organization is new. I'm finally over how nerve-wracking it seemed at first: "no pressure, you're just responsible for accurately representing the voice of 200 incredible visionary leaders and about 80,000 participants......." Now, down to silly business! I hope you stay tuned - https://www.facebook.com/evolvernetwork
Evolver's original concept framework is from the co-founders of Evolver, Daniel Pinchbeck, Ken Jordan, Jonathan Talat Phillips, Michael Robinson and Erika Rand. Over the past year a transition team of about 12 local "Sporeganizers" from all over the world came together to organize it into a structure we can work with as we scale up.
I won't have to be a lynchpin for representing our global voice for long. We're finishing up documentation that will help new Spores have the training and resources they need to create their own media from the events they produce. Our goal is to pulse this big mycelial love network with the wisdom and beauty the local groups have been creating together since 2009. An Evolver Spore is generally made up of the organizers, participants, and an informal coalition of businesses and projects with aligned values. It looks just like mycelium does - the webbing underground that connects not only mushrooms but also many other species in an ecosystem with the nutrients and information they thrive on. Shrooms away!
You'll generally find The Evolver Network addressing this concept ecosystem:
1. Educate Minds
2. Build Community
3. Restore the Environment
4. Promote Permaculture
5. Celebrate Art & Creativity
6. Advocate Social Justice
7. Highlight Holistic Healing
8. Design Better Systems
9. Transform Economy
10. Dream Big
Creating media for regenerative culture
