Ecotrust Foundation - natural capital and permaculture finance

I have been researching financial permaculture lately - using the 3 ethics of permaculture (Care of Earth, Care of People, and Fair Share of Surplus) to inform how one runs a business. I'll eventually write a longer post summarizing the organizations I've been learning about, but here is one now!

The Ecotrust Foundation acts as an incubator for social enterprise, and a capital vehicle for organizations that inspire change toward healthy ecosystems and resilient communities.

You can see more of their work on their website - http://www.ecotrust.org/

"Ecotrust believes that the wellbeing of people and the planet are inextricably linked. We believe that diverse, healthy ecosystems are the foundations of healthy communities, which together form the bedrock for healthy economies. Nurture people and nature, and business thrives."

Here is a spread of the areas they focus on. Please join me in thinking about business and commerce in consideration of this kind of scale:

Consulting
Fisheries
Food & Farms
Forests and Ecosystems Services
Knowledge Systems
Marine Consulting Initiatives
Indigenous Affairs Program
Natural Capital Fund
Whole Watershed Restoration Initiative

The Ecotrust Foundation runs an investment fund called - The Natural Capital Fund - http://www.ecotrust.org/ncf/

Please stay tuned to this blog for links to more permaculture and sustainability incubator and financial institutions.

Medicine Containers and Living Circuitry

That strange moment when you realize the event you're producing is a medicine container, and you have a three-month long ceremony during which you are channeling and holding space for the emergence of integrative societal magic. I would rather just be leading ayahuasca ceremonies, and I would be if it was legal. This is so much harder. For now.... building an altar to help me focus and ground HiveMind. If you'd like to help me guide currents of energy toward connecting up the transition toward a sustainable and love-based global civilization, you can focus on this image. I created it as a sigil and logo for HiveMind, designed to hold the circuitry or imprint of the event. My intention was to make something other people could look at both to get the download and connect in if they want to. It's programmed as a living memory device, if that makes sense to anyone at all.

Tonight I'm processing a deeper understanding of the healing threads I'm bringing together through HiveMind. I feel I'm watching the resolutions and relationship evolutions as if I'm in the middle of an aya trip. It's kind of nauseating to hold that level of awareness, but I'm looking forward to building more community I can talk with and share it. Looking forward to heading up to Inspiration Point tomorrow and just laying on the ground to try to let the energy move through and integrate in my body.

Note to self, skype with Shonagh Home about oracle and channeling work.
