New EP is up! Me and Wobbly ( Jonathan Leidecker) making very silly dance music. Big thanks to James Gyre of Naked Geometry for permission to use his piece as the cover art. Wurly playing by M.C. Schmidt of Matmos. Owl on the title track by, an owl.
Scrolling thru my fb feed today, I came across a photo of the person who made the "fairy's bow" mouth harp that somehow found its way to me. Amazing to see him staring at me with one of his magnificent pipes. This is a great article that hints at the depths of pure magic and care that exist in the world, and some pearls of wisdom about the difference between western disease models and older lineages of healing. It's lovely to see more photos of the person who made the instrument I have that plays between all the dimensions. The bones in my head resonate for a whole week after I play it.
I have been looking for good writing on private property issues. This piece by Martin Adams is a nice take on "the commons" and financial systems infrastructure. Also check out his book, Land: A New Paradigm for a Thriving World.
Some days I feel the collective distress of systems collapse, ecosystems and financial/political systems... stronger than the beauty and optimism of the solutions I look for and share. It's a physical, emotional and psychic heaviness. I miss all the animals and plants that are dying in mass droves. I generally don't put much attention on the forces causing that destruction because it's my role to find and spread antidotes as fast as I can... but some days I get pulled under by just feeling the drought, the ocean chemistry changes, air pollution, and how sad so many people are at the drudgerous lives they live under capitalism / religious police state bla bla bla. So insane. The apocalypse is brutal :).
There are healthier ways, and those transformations are coming as fast as people are forced to adopt them as things collapse and as people and groups with foresight coordinate to shift to longer term and integrative perspective, and snap out of their reality frames to embrace diverse viewpoints enough to have a conversation instead of a war or wage genocide.
